Street Dreams

Unveiled this month, the street mural was designed to slow down traffic by our local park. More than 100 volunteers helped in its creation.

These are dreams of our community, that children could bike in safety, the harvest be plentiful, and doves of peace fly the path of the sun.

Human dreams captured by human hands. But somehow I think these are also small snapshots of what heaven will look like. No illness or injury. No famine. No violence, no war.

And it seems to me that in God's hands, human dreams can become holy prayers, not just for our community, but for our world.

Street dreams. May it be so.
