Our Father

Father, whom have we in heaven but you?

And earth has nothing we desire besides you
.

You are above and beyond
what we could ever dare to imagine or dream.

Teach us how to honor your name in everything we do.

Fulfill your promise of revolution, Lord,
and overturn the kingdom of darkness in which we live.

Take your rightful place as king,
not only in heaven, but here on earth.

In every action, big and small,
we submit to your rule.

We trust you to meet our daily needs
.

Have mercy on us, O God,
when we turn our backs away from you.

According to your great compassion,
wash away our sins.

Teach us to bear with each other
and to forgive those who have wronged us.

Guide our paths, Lord,
and make them straight.

Rescue us from the evil in our world.

Rescue us, God, from the evil within us
.

Be our rock of refuge,
a strong fortress to save us.

For you, O God, are the one true God.

You are stronger than our fiercest enemy
and mightier than our deepest fears.

Your majesty cannot be described with human words.

And for all eternity, we will praise you.

Amen.
